Personal Storage is a project that embodies a series of wooden digital storage devices. The idea came about when I wanted to personalize USB sticks and designed a casing to replace the old plastic skin. The casings are precisely designed to fit the recycled electronics inside. They are cut and engraved layer by layer with a laser, and then laminated to form a solid wooden mass. The project shows that wood is well usable as a material to produce and copy complicated 3-dimensional forms.
