The very first skateboards were made simply by sawing rollerskate trucks in half and attaching them to a piece of wood. In the 1970's, a crew of young surfers in Dogtown LA used those boards to surf the sidewalk and empty swimmingpools when waves were absent. Oud Zuid skateboards are made in the same way as those first skateboards, using old rollerskates and a surf like shape. Each board is individualy shaped by hand, each set of trucks is unique. These small boards go faster and turn sharper than normal boards that are commonly used today. A true revival of the origins of skateboarding.
